Lovexair and Neuroespai come together to help respiratory patients overcome their disease
The collaboration agreement between Lovexair and the Neuroespai psychology office will offer psychological support to members of the HappyAir community
Between 20% and 40% of people diagnosed with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) choose to retire early; around 20% of those who present more severe respiratory problems face depression and between 15 and 30% experience symptoms of anxiety; patients with oxygen therapy end up isolating themselves in their own home; and, for the most part, people recently diagnosed with a chronic disease such as asthma or a rare respiratory disease, such as Alpha-1 Antitrypsin deficiency, do not know what they are facing and, therefore, do not know how to manage their disease on a daily basis.
Psychological support and advice therefore becomes a key element when it comes to overcoming a respiratory pathology. Faced with this majority demand from the patient community, the Lovexair Foundation has recently reinforced the resources it offers thanks to an agreement with the Neuroespai psychology cabinet, a team of professionals that stands out for its closeness and dedication to its patients.
Thanks to this agreement, the members of the Foundation's HappyAir community will have personalized assistance guided by a multidisciplinary team specialized in different areas. Initially, the psychology cabinet carries out a first evaluation session to later determine the intervention proposal, the treatment, the number of sessions and the steps to follow.
This new support offered by Lovexair and Neuroespai not only includes discounts for HappyAir members but also allows them to access advice through telecare, thus avoiding trips that many people cannot take due to their respiratory profile. A phone call can help many of the chronic patients or relatives of children with a respiratory pathology to overcome their disease and learn to manage it on a day-to-day basis.
