Inspiring Kids
Inspiring Kids was born from the need to find solutions for young adolescents and children with difficult-to-control asthma, so that they are better protected and can start their lives, protected and safe.
Reducing the risk of frequent, life-threatening attacks.
Prevalence and Impact
According to data from the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) of 2020, it is estimated that asthma affects more than 300 million people in the world and is the most common chronic disease in childhood according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
Asthma is a treatable, but not curable, disease that does not have to negatively influence the lives of people who suffer from it, as long as it is managed properly.
Teaching children to control their stress from an early age is essential for better health and a good quality of life.
Hospitalisations and visits to health centres, resulting from poorly controlled asthma, overload our health services. People affected have difficulties in learning to take care of themselves, prevent attacks and adapt to living with asthma, in order to prevent this disease from influencing and impacting the quality of their lives.
At Lovexair we believe that it is important to participate in this change, especially given the situation during the COVID-19 pandemic that we are experiencing. In order to help achieve the well-being and safety of our young people and the peace of mind of their families. A better future.
Our inspiration: Ambassadors Elena and Arran
Elena Marti
Elena Martí, HappyAir Ambassador, is a young woman with asthma who is fulfilling her dreams as an athlete at the high-performance centre in Madrid, while studying nursing. Elena competes internationally in Orienteering, being a Spanish champion on several occasions.
Her secret is to overcome her challenges and stay focused despite the difficulties.
Arran Strong
Arran suffers from Alpha-1, a rare disease that primarily affects the lungs and liver. But this diagnosis does not prevent him from living his life and dreams.
He trains and works in Portugal, and collaborates in events about the importance of taking care of one's health.
Surfing champion chosen as Wild Card at the 2017 Junior World Championships, he trains young people who want to improve their performance in this sport.
Our priority: The health of young people

After facing a pandemic like the one caused by COVID-19, it is our responsibility to adapt our systems and the way we educate young people about health.
They are the future. It is time to put these care plans through digital resources in their hands.
Our Key Milestones
Our main goal is to validate a comprehensive care model, using digital health resources suitable for young people to help them adapt their lifestyle without having to stop living their dreams.
It is in our hands to guide people to improve asthma control, wherever they are.
With this we will also achieve:
- Reduce the number of asthma attacks.
- Improve treatment adherence.
- Teach patients, their parents and guardians how to properly manage asthma, prevent attacks and know what to do if they occur.
- To determine whether these resources and care plans meet the needs of these children, their families and the healthcare professionals who treat them.
Inspiring Kids seeks to improve the quality of life and happiness of these young people in their environment.
- We put our HappyAir ecosystem in the hands of pediatricians specialized in asthma to manage the project in a safe and digitally connected environment.
- We support the project through our network of coaches and research to support young people and their families online.
- We educate and support children and adolescents with difficult-to-control asthma to help them learn to improve their health and well-being.

Our action plan
We are launching a research study using m-health with the help of pediatric pulmonologists specialized in asthma that will allow us to:
- To assess youth's progress in managing their asthma while using devices and adaptive technology.
- Accompanying participants and their families in their daily lives thanks to the work of our coaches, who will help them in their learning about asthma management without overloading them.
- To understand the progress of participants and determine the benefits of following a digital health plan with HappyAir under the supervision of their doctors and reducing the need to visit the hospital or health center.
This study is approved by the Ethics Committee of the 4 participating hospitals

- They accompany the child/adolescent and their family members on a journey within our HappyAir environment where they can adopt a simple routine and evaluate their progress.
- They design care plans focused on active living and individualized disease control
- They teach how to use digital devices that help in the management of the disease
- They create audiovisual educational materials, adapted to the age of the patients, to learn the basics of asthma management.
- They provide social and clinical support to participants by interacting with them to ensure that they are well cared for and do not feel isolated. They are a link between the paediatricians, who monitor and supervise the participants clinically, and the families and/or patients, in order to anticipate adverse situations.
- They organize individual or group video chat sessions with participants or their families according to their age and needs.
We provide guidance to families on how to inform schools, institutes or physical education and sports teachers, to ensure that there are no incidents that could be negative and that they are better prepared in case of a crisis.
Our needs
This ambitious project has a budget of around €50.000, of which we have raised 2020% in November 40,
Do you want to improve the health and care of young people in the digital age?
Arran is helping us raise funds to ensure that in 2021 this project is well-directed to meet its objectives with the participants:

Your Inspiring Kids care plan and coach are waiting for you!
If you are a pulmonologist or allergist and you want to participate in this study, along with other pediatricians and hospitals, contact us and we will evaluate the options. Let's promote research in children with asthma, they are our future!
Do you want to help empower our youth in their health?
Our young people are the future and what better way to help them than to collaborate and accompany them in the proper management of their health. The acquisition of routines and awareness of their health and quality of life will make their path easier.

There are many people who benefit from our projects:
Patients, family members, ambassadors, coaches, researchers, healthcare professionals... as well as all the people who learn with us and to whom we will be able to extend these digital care plans in the future thanks to our HappyAirCommunity.
Your participation has a Prize
We believe that people who take care of themselves and actively participate in improving their health should be rewarded, not only in health but also with other incentives.
Therefore, at the end of the study, we reward young people who remain faithful and make positive progress in managing their asthma.
