Statement from Shane Fitch, CEO and President of the Lovexair Foundation on the launch of Altys
At Lovexair we have been working in digital & social health for the last 10 years. We have created the Community HappyAir with online health projects, specializing in the area of social and clinical support for people affected by respiratory diseases.
HappyAir was born to be independent, with the aim of providing people with a safe space in which to receive care and support from the health professionals who accompany them and need them. Also with the aim of contributing to research, if the user so wishes, and at the same time participating in projects that create value and knowledge for the future of respiratory health. lovexair We are responsible for maintaining the security of this space and defending people's rights to their health and well-being.
Now more than ever, the pandemic caused by the COVID-19 teaches us the importance of caring for people wherever they are, through resources that are relevant both to them and to the health professionals who care for them.Patient safety is key especially when visits to health centres are recommended only in case of emergency. At times like the present, it becomes more evident thatl progress monitoring of the prescribed treatment, the maintaining an active life and the concerns of the affected people, are of a priority nature and must be able to be managed through tele-health resources.
With this shared vision, we join forces with collaborators from many countries and from all health-related sectors to improve people's quality of life. We would like to thank #GRAP, the Primary Care Respiratory Group belonging to IPCRG (International Group of Primary Care Respiratory Healthcare Professionals) for their ongoing collaboration in our projects, as well as their review of the first clinical content on asthma management in Altys and COPD in #Pioneers.
Altys Virtual Asthma Assistant, was launched on World Asthma Day in 2020, in Spain for the first time within HappyAir. This has been possible thanks to a 2-year intense collaboration with Novartis Global Pharma and Novartis Spain, as well as ICT companies, mainly Observia and Rapson Technologies, together with the work of our DPD Santiago Mediano Abogados.
Altys is integrated into the platform HappyAir with Observia technology, specialists in e-health solutions based on the use of “spur TM” algorithms, which help us to better understand the needs of each person according to their preferences and lifestyle, through direct interaction with Altys.
Through the use of Altys, each person is assigned one of the coaches in HappyAir, which allows for better knowledge and support through a care program for 16 weeks or more, if desired.
